This is an event designed to help those getting started in the barrel racing world and give them a shot at winning the top prizes.
* 4D Barrels * 4D Straights *4DPoles
(Which means if a 16.5 wins in the 1st Division or “1D” or the top time of the day, 2D 1st place is a 17.5 , 3D 1st place is a 18.5, 4D 1st place is a 19.5) We chose full second splits to let the winnings fall over a larger group of different level riders to give encouragement to those at all levels.
Classes:
Peewee 7 & Under
Youth (Defined as 18 & under)
Novice (Defined as winning less than $40 or a buckle in last 3 years)
We do the novice class at such a low mark to allow the beginners on everyday horses to have a shot at winning. There are plenty places for more advanced riders to go but such a small window of opportunity for beginners to get that first feel of success.

No Magic Seats! No Stallions!
We take the safety of our youth riders very seriously. Magic seats are against our teaching policy and we do not allow them anytime at our facility. The only exception to this rule is in cases of severe handicap and a side walker must be supplied in these cases. See HERE for info if you are not sure what a magic seat is or need clarification.
$20 Entry per Horse/Rider Team per event
$5 Exhibitions (practice runs before the race starts so riders can get a feel for the arena)

60- entries will pay thru 3rd
60+ entries will pay thru 5th

70% payback and Splits are on a graduated pay scale which is defined as 1D 35% 2D 30% 3D 20% 4D 15%

This is our Annual Costume Contest and we’ve beefed it up with a race this year! The Costume contest is pretty intense and if you don’t own a horse don’t worry you can reserve one of the lesson horses! Please book early as they go fast.
The proceeds from this race allow us to fund our other youth programs such as our Drill Team.
