Discover the difference with Banshee Ranch Photography, where you’re not just booking a session, you’re stepping into a creative partnership. We’re Jeremy and Della, a husband-and-wife team with 40 years of combined experience in Texas wildlife and equestrian photography, and yes, we’ve pretty much seen it all (including horses with very strong opinions about photoshoots).
Della brings a lifetime in the horse industry as a trainer, which means your session runs smoothly, safely, and without the usual chaos. She knows how to read the moment and keep everything flowing so you get the most out of your time without stress. She is your hype man to get you into the magic.
Jeremy is the guy behind the magic, equal parts artist and gear wizard. From sculpting light in the field to fine-tuning every detail in post-production, he turns great moments into striking, gallery-worthy images. Think less “snapshot,” more “this belongs on your wall.”
What really sets us apart? We don’t just show up somewhere and hope for the best. As ranch owners on our private 65-acre property, we control the environment, from safe, well-handled horses to a variety of natural backdrops that give you privacy, flexibility, and zero random interruptions. No strangers wandering through your shoot, no surprises, just space to create.
We’re also wildlife conservationists and avid birders, which means when we photograph animals, we capture real behavior, not forced poses. The result feels honest, alive, and timeless.
Our specialty sessions include fine art horse and rider portraits, senior sessions with horses, family shoots, end-of-life memorials, and wildlife imagery. Everything is handled in-house, so your experience is seamless from start to finish, and your vision stays front and center.
At the end of the day, you’re not just walking away with photos. You’re getting artwork, images that feel like you, tell a story, and are worth printing, framing, and holding onto for years.
Big picture: How our sessions work!
- All horses are owned and trained by our ranch; they live here and are used to people, cameras, and the general commotion of a photoshoot.
- You can choose the overall feel of your images—rodeo/arena, rustic barn, or natural/wooded—and I will match you with the best locations on the property.
- You may come with a favorite ranch horse already in mind, or we can help you select one based on color, build, temperament, and your riding level.
- For any unmounted or standing/lead‑line photos, almost any of our horses can be used, because they are familiar with standing quietly and being handled.
- For mounted and action shots, horses are carefully matched to your experience level so you stay safe and can relax and enjoy the session.
- Safety and welfare always come before any photo idea; we will skip poses, movements, or locations that feel unsafe for you or the horse.
