Lessons:
Banshee Ranch offers both English and Western lessons at all levels. Lessons focus on riding as well as basic horsemanship, which includes proper grooming, tacking and care for the horse. We strive to use positive re-enforcement to encourage our student’s love of every discipline. While you are learning all the essentials of horsemanship you will also learn about discipline, respect, safety and the rich history surrounding horses. Learning will be paced to match each student’s ability. All students must sign release forms before starting lessons.
Lessons Policy:
1.Students are responsible for providing their own helmets.
2.Students must wear a form of boot with a heel.
3.You MUST give 24 hours notice of cancellation for a lesson. You may reschedule within the month.
If 24 hours notice is not given, you will be charged for the lesson.
4.Our policy is to hold lessons rain or shine, the facility has a covered arena.

Rehabilitation:
Banshee Ranch provides comprehensive therapy services for your horse. Each of the facilities components are important in the total rehabilitation plan. When your horse arrives, the staff works with your veterinarian to develop an individual program to achieve the best results. We will be glad to refer veterinarians in the area if you so require. The program is designed to assist in the over-all healing process to speed recovery.
It is medically proven that aqua therapy reduces the formation of scar tissue during the healing process. It speeds recovery by oxygenating the muscle tissue without the impact, which would occur with groundwork. With the swim workout the horse can receive full ration feedings therefore more nutrients to aid in the healing process.

Conditioning:
Banshee Ranch staff will swim one lap and assess your horses condition. After they catch their breath, they usually swim a second lap on the first day. This gets them over any fear of the water and pool. This routine is repeated for several days. Once the horse is over any soreness and is comfortable, the number of laps is gradually increased as the horse becomes more fit. We can get them up to as much as 18 minutes in the pool at a time. Then their cardiovascular system is so good they take a few breaths and they're recovered.
